There are many ways to make extra money online, working from home. Whether you want to make a few bucks in your spare time, sharing links, taking surveys, editing or translating text, or beta testing websites, apps or software, you can should be able to find something you enjoy doing.
You may even want to kick it up a notch, start your LLC and move up to becoming an affiliate marketer/manager, copywriter, ad creator or ad campaign manager, or a dropshipper. All of which can be done working from your own home. All of these things are covered in this Members Area!

Get Paid To Take Online Surveys
Do you like sharing your opinion on things? Surveys are a great and easy tool for making money online. One of the biggest outlets for this is Vindale. How it works: You share demographic information about yourself, then the company will match you to surveys that pay you to answer questions or test products.
With other similar survey sites, you can help brands improve their products and services AND get paid for your sharing your opinion. Survey Junkie pays you instantly via Paypal to fill out surveys. You can earn up to $45 per survey. The more you sign up for, the more money you can make.

BrandedSurveys: $$ For Surveys
You can sign up or join through Facebook. You create a profile and answer a few questions about your life. The more personal information you give, the more the company knows about you so it can offer surveys tailored to your interests or lifestyle.
You earn points from doing surveys, and the points are redeemed for cash.
The average payout is up to (note the "up to") 300 points per survey. According to BrandedSurveys, 100 points is equal to $1. You're paid via PayPal or gift cards, and you can cash out once you hit $10.

Dollars in your Inbox!
The usual drill: For taking surveys and watching videos, you'll receive points, which you can redeem for cash. You can't actually cash out until you earn $30, though, and so if you don't enjoy taking the surveys, it may be a bit of a drag to wait until you reach $30. Meanwhile, payments are processed every Wednesday, and so if you reach $30 on a Thursday, it may take about a week to get paid. There is a $5 welcome bonus to help you get started, though.

SwagBucks
This is one of the more well-known websites. You take surveys and earn Swagbuck points. Earn enough, and you can redeem them for cash or gift cards. The average payout per survey is 40 cents to $2. You can start cashing out at $3 for gift cards and $25 if you want to be paid via PayPal. You can also get coupons at Swagbucks.com and free samples.
If you're up for answering surveys, watching videos and just tooling around the site to see what points you can get and what coupons and free samples are to be had, you may find it worth it and even fun.

Gift Cards for Polls
This is a respected company that's been around for decades, and if you sign up to fill out its surveys, you will get email invites to surveys. If you qualify for them – based on things like your age and gender and profession – then you can participate. You receive what are called HIpoints when you fill out these surveys, which you can eventually redeem for gift cards to Starbucks, iTunes or Amazon. So, it's not exactly hard cash, but if you planned on buying from those places, you'll be in a good spot.

Sell Your Photos
Do you have photo skills or live in an area where images are in demand? “Stock photography websites are huge repositories of photographs, covering almost every possible subject you could imagine,” advises International Living. So how does it work? Photographers can upload their images to any one of a number of huge databases, allowing magazine editors, designers or any organization with a website to buy them. And the beauty of stock websites: Photos can be sold any number of times—so you can continue to make money without any effort. Photography sites to check out include

Become a Freelance Proofreader
Proofreading is another lucrative online career. Most agencies will pay around 25% of the price of a translated document to a proofreader. Agencies charge about $75 for the translation of a five-page standard business document. So proofing the same document—which takes about an hour—pays out about $18 to $20. You can work full time, part-time or around-the-clock. Mediabistro—a site that offers resources for media professionals—has tips on how to become a proofreader.
Type for Cash
Are you a fast typist? Transcribing is simple: Listen to an audio file through headphones and type it out. As a transcriber, your pay is directly related to how fast you type. Transcription jobs are paid by the audio hour (the length of the audio file), rather than by the hour worked. The time spent on a transcript is influenced by the audio quality, background noise, the accent of the speaker and the speed at which people speak. The average transcriber—typing between 75 and 100 words per minute—will complete one audio hour in four hours worked. Consider the company Rev.com, which hires freelance transcribers.

Have you heard of drop-shipping? It’s a method of retail where the seller doesn’t actually have a physical inventory. Instead, when a customer makes an order, you purchase the item from a third party, and they ship it directly to the customer. “This means you’ll never have to fork over a single dime to store your products or maintain your inventory,” advises International Living. “And you’ll never have to buy products in bulk, hoping to sell enough to recoup your investment.” This method can be done with online selling platforms like eBay or Amazon. Create a Money Making Blog
Do you have an area of expertise? Share your advice on a blog. If travel is your area of expertise, think about what you have to offer: Are you an expert in luxury travel or budget travel? Can you share advice about certain activities like hiking or shopping? The more specific you get, the easier it’ll be to attract an engaged audience and to earn money with your site. The sites Squarespace and Wix have tips on how to create blogs and can also host them.

“If you’re a native English speaker, you may not realize it, but you already have the number one qualification you need for a fun, portable income that can hand you a steady paycheck from anywhere in the world,” says International Living. Some resources include GoOverseas.com, TeachAway (teach English online to Chinese students), iTutorGroup (teach English online to Taiwanese children and adults) and English Hunt (teach English on the phone to adult students in Korea)
Turn your interests Into a Podcast that Pays
Podcasting doesn’t have to be complicated. With a microphone, laptop and free recording software, you’ll be up and running. Plus, podcasts don’t need to run every day (once a week is best) and are better when they’re short. There are a number of ways to make money from a podcast. The most obvious is commercial sponsorship, but you can also use it as a platform to advertise your own products or services.

Narrate an Audiobook
“Audiobooks are an increasingly popular form of entertainment. The convenience factor of smartphones has led to an industry boom,” advises International Living. “That’s creating a demand for freelance narrators.” This site, BookRiot, has advice on learning how to become an audiobook narrator.
Get Paid To Watch Viral Videos
Getting paid to watch viral videos is a real way to earn cash, and you can do it with a company called Inbox Dollars.
It’s probably one of the lowest-effort side hustles. But it’s totally worth it if you’re just sitting on the couch scrolling anyway. Instead of watching viral videos on YouTube, you could be getting paid actual cash to watch those videos instead. Every little bit of extra money counts.
It's simple. You sign up here and confirm your email. Then you watch. Then you earn cash (yes, actual cash… not "points"). And watching these videos whenever you’re just chilling on the couch can earn you up to an extra $225 every month.

Get Paid To Create YouTube Videos
The nice thing about this idea is you'll probably have fun doing it. Meanwhile, your friends and family will probably enjoy watching your videos.
Ryan Scribner, a resident of Saratoga Springs, New York, is a good example of what you could become – but his earnings are not representative of what most YouTubers make.
He started a YouTube channel in 2017, and between that and a personal finance blog, "Investing Simple," that he co-owns, he says he earns around $50,000 a month. He now has writers who create content for the blog, and he uploads a video a week. He estimates he works 15 hours a week, and in 2019, he made a little over half a million dollars. (Damn, I think I need a career change!)
Scribner says, "It didn't take much time to get this up and running. In the first few months of operating this channel, I earned less than $400. But I stuck with it and now I think I'm set for life."
Not sure how to start? “In recent years, YouTube has grown into the go-to source for all manner of video courses and guides,” says International Living. “Instructors can monetize their videos by charging a subscription fee or password protecting content for paying customers only.” There is a estate agent who made $100,000 in one month on YouTube.
Another piece of advice from International Living: Get to know the phrases that people search for. To find potential search phrases, start typing “how to [your topic]” into YouTube’s search bar and notice what phrases are generated in the auto-fill dropdown. Make sure to use the same keywords when you write your video title, description, and tags.

Advertise on your Car
If you're not familiar with the concept, there are advertising firms that will pay you to let them display advertising on your car. Some of the big names include Carvertise, Wrapify, StickerRide, Free Car Media, ReferralCars. (The advertising "wrapping" can be removed and won't damage the car's paint).
You make money simply for driving around, running errands and commuting to work. How much you'll make is hard to say, but generally people report earning a few hundred dollars a month, and sometimes up to $1,000.
While you may feel a little foolish at first, this is arguably one of the best sources of passive income. You're going to drive anyway; why not earn money to offset at least the amount you spend on gas? Once you get approved for one of these vehicle wrap companies, it's passive income all the way.

Wonder: Research for Ca$h
How it works: People come to this site when they need research done. Wonder doesn't hire just anyone, but you can apply. The process takes about five minutes, according to the website. And if Wonder thinks you have the skills to do research, you'll get access to its dashboard. You can then choose to answer a question – perhaps coming from a business executive or an author writing a book.
Highlights: Researchers report making, on average, $8 to $16 for each detailed answer, and job sites suggest researchers can make, on average, about $20 an hour. In short, Wonder offers an ideal gig for those who really enjoy the process of doing research, as opposed to those who just want to make fast money.

Wasn't Roseanne's Sister, Jackie a life coach? Life coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process that helps people focus on both personal and professional goals. People use life coaching to overcome fears, boost their self-confidence, create goals and instill success-oriented habits. You can find thousands of online training programs on how to be a life coach, and many certification programs offer an entire website setup once training is completed. If travel is your area of expertise, you can even become a travel coach. You can even get certified.

How it works: Upwork is essentially a meeting site where businesses and freelancers throughout the world can connect and collaborate on certain projects. Businesses hire freelancers for a variety of different services, including writing, web design, running SEO campaigns and pretty much any work that can be done on a computer. You can even use the skills you learn in this cource to start earning money on UpWork!
Highlights: Upwork takes a commission from 5% to 20%, but the more money you make, the less the commission is.

Back when snuggies were popular, I had a great idea for a TShirt. The Snuggie Mini. Just a regular shirt, missing the things that make the Snuggie, the Snuggie.
With a service like Spreadshirt, Designhill, Zazzle or CafePress, I would be able to sell that shirt to other people, and those companies would print my design on to the shirts and ship them out to my customers.

Become a Copywriter

Write a Book
Some of my favorite movies are those about writers. Whether it's a News Column or Children's Book ('Elf', 'Funny Farm') I always enjoyed the process. You start out with a rough draft, and then you refine it, make it better.
Willen has written a couple of short books and self-published them on Amazon. One of those books, for instance, is called "Buying Small Apartment Buildings: Become a Successful Real Estate Investor by Owning Duplexes, Triplexes and Quads."
Obviously, that's a topic he knows something about. "In total they bring in about $1500 to $2000 a month, and I spend $200 to $300 in Amazon ads," Willen says of the two books. "They're truly passive; I do nothing whatsoever with either."
The e-book business is a great way to earn money. You can create your own (Kindle has a guide for how to do it). Or find a book that’s already been published in print and license it to publish online. You can pay the author 8-15% royalties based on net sales or a one-time payment for the online publishing rights.

Fiverr: A place to sell your skills
Another popular 'get paid for your skills' site is Fiverr.
How it works: Know something about digital marketing? You can work for someone who doesn't have these skills and pick up some extra cash. Even better, you can offer to compile web research or data entry for someone for fast cash.
Highlights: You can make good money from the site, asserts Dan Bochichio, a web designer and digital strategist in Albany, New York, who runs a two-person company called Bocain Designs. He says that his firm makes $3,000 to $5,000 a month from Fiverr. "To stay ahead of the competition, I make sure my Fiverr profile and gig descriptions are well written and communicate the value of the services I'm offering. When someone reaches out to me, I make sure to reply as quickly as I can and follow up with to inquiry by asking good questions. A quick, but carefully written reply will increase the odds of them hiring you drastically," Bochichio says.

Amjad, who currently earns around $1000 to $1500 a week from affiliate marketing suggests not making your website, whether it's a blog or a site that specializes in reviews and recommendations, too promotional. Because if readers sense that your website is all about making you rich, that isn't much incentive for people to stick around for long. But, we've seen people purchase from 'highly' promotional sites as well. You could even use fear-based tactics that many survivalist and political sites use, but we wouldn't recommend it.

Create Your Own Products
Again, like buying an apartment or writing a book, this isn't a simple task. But it is a classic example of a passive income stream. In fact, Willen recently started a frozen dog treat business called Cooper's Treats.
"I'm currently in the early phase of doing all the production and logistics myself because sales numbers are still relatively small, but they're ramping up quickly," Willen says. "Soon I should be able to move production and logistics to a third-party manufacturer and a third-party logistics company. Once those are taken care of, I'll hire a (virtual assistant) to handle customer support and basic marketing – mostly updating social media – and from there it should be almost entirely passive."
